Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University Students Visit AGBU Papazian Library at AUA

More than 30 students from Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University visited the AGBU Papazian Library at the American University of Armenia (AUA).The students were welcomed by Papazian Library Director Satenik Avagyan and Head of Reference and Circulation Services Hasmik Galstyan. The students, who were accompanied by their English Language Instructor Ms. Heghine, received a guided tour of the library, during which they learned about Library facilities and the various ways Papazian Library utilizes information technology. Following the tour, Mrs. Galstyan introduced WebOPAC giving in-depth instructions on how to search Library electronic catalog, how to locate books on shelves by DDC numbers, and introduced them also other library services available through the website. Afterwards students posed questions relating to Library membership policy, access to e-resources and research techniques. The participants were happy to learn that the library modern facilities and services provided from 9am-2am is available not only for AUA community but for the public at large.
