Meeting with Twinning Project Expert Mr. Kenny Wright

AGBU Papazian Library hosted Twinning Project expert Dr. Kenny Wright for Round table discussion on coordinating different activities and events aimed at IPR awareness. This meeting was a follow up event to Round Table with Cambridge University Press Yerevan Representatives and Twinning Project European Experts held on December 5, 2012 , Ani Plazza “Garni Hall” where Library director Bella Avakian stated the AUA’s strong interest to the discussed topic and emphasized the importance of organizing copyright awareness trainings for all stakeholders to avoid any violation. The Expert welcomed Papazian Library involvement in the Project “Organizing a Campaign on Reviewing the Copyright Law of the Republic of Armenia”, successfully accomplished by Hasmik Galstyan , who is EIFL-IP coordinator for Armenia. The expert was happy to be provided by a copy of  “Proposal for Amendments in Armenian Copyright Law 2006” for his further reference and consideration.

Note: Twinning Project “Strengthening the Enforcement of IPR in Armenia” is to support the Armenian Observatory on Counterfeiting and Piracy to develop and carry out an awareness campaign on IPR protection and enforcement.
