InterLibrary Loan Document Delivery
InterLibrary Loan Document Delivery is a service by which AUA students, faculty and staff can obtain materials that are not available in the AUA Library.
If the item is not available locally AUA Library may acquire it from institutions in the framework of the established agreement. The Institution who owns the item sends it to AUA via postal service or electronically. AUA Library staff mediates all requests by checking the items availability in:
- Armenian Union Catalog
- FAU Library Catalog
Patrons may request photocopies of periodical articles, conference papers, book chapters, sections of reference works, and government documents in compliance with the Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S. Code). One of the specified conditions of the law is that the photocopy is not to be “used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research.”
The InterLibrary Loan or Document Delivery Request Form is submitted electronically. This form is available on our website . The form should be completed fully, without the use of abbreviations. When the article is received, the requester is notified by email. The normal turnaround time for receiving articles or/and book chapters is within two-three business days. Materials can be collected from the Circulation/Reference Desk.
